The Philadelphia Parking Authority Mellon Independence Center 701 Market Street - Suite 5400 Philadelphia, PA 19106 Request for Qualifications 8th & Filbert Street Transformation Project 2nd EXTENSION The Philadelphia Parking Authority is inviting all contractors interested in performing General Construction Work, Hazardous Materials/Demo Work, Mechanical/Plumbing Work, Electrical Work and Facade Structural Steel and Glass Work for the 8th & Filbert Street Transformation project to apply for Pre-qualification. The project includes, renovating and modernizing an existing parking facility, retail spaces and street scape. The project also includes, major transformation of the adjacent urban scape. The overall hard cost estimate for the project is approximately $12 M. Contractors that have previously been deemed qualified for other projects with the Authority are required to pre-qualify for this project in order to be able to participate in the public bidding process. On behalf of Philadelphia Works and the Philadelphia Council for College and Career Success (Council), the Philadelphia Youth Network, Inc. is announcing the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) to allocate federal and foundation funds, which will be available as of April 1, 2014. High-performing, youth-serving organizations that can provide educationally-enriched, career-exposure and work-based-learning opportunities under the umbrella of WorkReady Philadelphia during summer 2014 for youth ages 12-21 years are encouraged to apply. The RFP will be available on Friday, November 15, 2013 by 12:00 p.m. and will be available at www.pyninc.org/provider/rfps.php, www.philadelphiacouncil.org, and www.philaworks.org.
