NOTICE Pursuant to the Land Recycling and Environmental Remediation Standards Act, the act of May 19, 1995, P.L. 4, No. 1995-2. ("Act 2"), notice is hereby given that Bemis Healthcare Packaging, Inc. ("Bemis") has submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection ("PADEP") a Notice of Intent to Remediate ("NIR") a site located at 9800 Bustleton Avenue and 1701 Fulmer Street, City of Philadelphia. This NIR states that the site was a former light industrial and warehouse facility. Site soils and groundwater have been found to be impacted with volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and metals. Bemis has indicated that the proposed remediation measures will consist of pathway elimination. The proposed future use of the property will be non-residential for use as a light industrial facility. Bemis plans to use the statewide health and site-specific standards at the site. The Act provides for a 30-day public comment period for site-specific standard remediations. The 30-day comment period is initiated with the publication of this notice. Until March 22, 2017, the City of Philadelphia may submit a request to Bemis to be involved in the development of the remediation and reuse plans for the site. The City of Philadelphia may also submit a request to Bemis during this 30-day comment period to develop and implement a public involvement plan. PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development (the "Authority") will hold a public hearing on March 7, 2017, at 10:00 A.M. prevailing time, at the offices of Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation located at 1500 Market St., Suite 2600 West, Philadelphia, PA 19102 to discuss the issuance by the Authority of its revenue bonds (the "Bonds") to provide funds, which will be used to finance all or a portion of the following project (the "Project"): A. Owner: University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation exempt from Federal income taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. B. Maximum Amount of Bonds: $65,000,000 C.
